How does bankruptcy work?

So, I have a decent amount of debt. I could probably pay it off eventually, but I have nothing after paying bills. I'm young, not looking to move or buy anything crazy anytime soon-

How would Bankruptcy work? I know they take things- how far does that go? Do they actually take everything, like TV, game consoles, furniture, etc (because that's what I imagined lol), or is it more like if you own multiple cars, a house or two, etc?

Would it be a bad move? I don't want to loose the few things that make me happy, but I'm also tired of paying everything extra into debt. I've learned my damn lesson I've been living on nothing for the last 3 years, I won't fuck up again.

I'm just tired of it.
