Interesting difference in how two university subreddits reacted to the same type of comment
I came across two recent posts about international student tuition and noticed a pretty different reaction to almost the same comment.
On r/UBC, someone replied, “You could have done university in your home country,” and the comment was at -9.

On r/UCalgary, someone replied, “Just study in your home country, problem solved,” and the comment was at +7.

Obviously, two threads don’t represent either university as a whole. I just thought the difference in subreddit reactions was interesting, especially since international tuition is also a common topic at UAlberta.
