If You’re a Jehovah’s Witness Reading This, Just Answer One Question
Let’s assume that the Governing Body really is the “faithful and discreet slave” of Matthew 24:45.
Fine... Now read a few verses further...
Jesus says that if that slave starts beating his fellow slaves, he becomes an evil slave (Matthew 24:48-49).
To beat your fellow slaves is to harm the very people you were supposed to care for.
So let’s apply Jesus’ own criterion.
Jehovah’s Witnesses teach that the slave was appointed in 1919.
The blood transfusion doctrine was established in 1945.
And in 2026, the Governing Body changed its position on the four major blood components.
During those 81 years, people suffered and died after refusing blood treatments because they had been taught that accepting them would mean disobeying God... If imposing a false, deadly doctrine on your fellow slaves in the name of God isn’t “beating” them, I don’t know what is.
Now, look at the timeline.
Even if we generously assume that this slave did nothing comparable before 1945:
26 years of supposedly being the faithful slave without imposing this blood doctrine.
81 years of imposing a life-and-death blood doctrine that harmed its fellow slaves.
Twenty-six years without it... Eighty-one years with it.
So according to Jesus’ own description, which slave does that describe?
The faithful slave who cares for his fellow slaves? Or the evil slave who beats them?
And if the group directing your organization has spent far longer harming its fellow slaves than not harming them... how can you still be certain that this is the organization Jesus chose?
