I'm questioning weather or not I am aroace

I don't particularly have much emotional energy for people outside friendship and family, and not really much of a romantic intrest either. However, I still want a child, maybe i'll adopt one but IDK if I'm sure. I don't know if wanting a to adopt a kid in the future makes me unqualified to identify as aroace, but if it does please direct me to an alternate sub.
