Is it u healthy or wrong to actively seek for a relationship when you dont have friends or a social circle?

General Question

Hey, I just saw a post on reddit where OP was venting about how lonely she is. She said its invalidating and condescending when people tell her to just learn to love herself or focus on friends when what she actually wants is romance.

The comments were really brutal and harsh. People were saying its really unnattractive when someone is ”desperate” for a relationship. Everyone also assumed OP must hate herself and her life bc she wants a partner.

I was really shocked by the comments. Do ppl really think its wrong or unhealthy to actively seek for a romantic relationship when you dont have friends or a social circle? Im this invested, bc I am neurodivergent and I have always struggled with friendships. Especially with other women, I have always felt like I dont belong and there is something wrong with me. I have also been bullied for being weird and different. I met my bf on tinder 3 years ago when I didnt have any friends or a social circle in general. I never thought that a bf would fix all my problems and loneliness?? We have a healthy relationship and I nowadays have one close friend and im also really close with my sister😅Idk, Im just not very extroverted and Im complitely fine with one close friend and a partner.
Bc of that post I just asked my bf if he ever felt like I was trying to use him to fix all my problems and he was really confused and said ”what, no?? How did you come up with that” 😭

Well anyways, I was just really shocked from all the replies so I wanted to spark a conversation. :)
