I like tinkering with my devices. And even though I can do some DIY projects before, life has been busier lately. So I have been purchasing creative accessories for my Ayn Thor and here are some of them.

Some has improved my quality-of-gaming experience, some has improved how I perceive and appreciate my device, and some are for protective reasons.

1. MithrilMods case and modular grips. It has improved my handling and comfort. It also allows me to switch up the colors every now and then making it more personalized. I recommend the product. It did not scratch my device and the color very closely matches the white shell of my Thor.

2. Magigamer custom face button set. It amuses me each time I open my device to see these buttons. For me, the glass-like texture of the buttons and dpad makes my device more premium. Pictures don't do them justice. It is worth its price and effort to install. I recommend it to those who want to make it work for them. I do like SRM magnetic sets also, I bought some for my other device. His designs are more traditional though.

3. Top lids.. I did received my customized top lid and I was not ecstatic about it. Print quality and accuracy was spot on. But the fit was just not great to my liking. I tried removing the grips, and put on the official Ayn and still did not look great for me. Does it protect the top side? Maybe. Also, there is a gap on the opening that dust and lint can go in. So if dust do get in, overtime it will scratch the top lid that you are trying to protect. Does it look okay? Not much. So I suggest to those who have cool stickers, or have access to quality printing, just get the official TPU case and use it. Yeah it will yellow in time, but the freedom to switch up designs will always be there at very low cost vs buying a lip cover with one design.

4. Dedicated carrying bag/case. I bought pouches and slings with dedicated foam dividers or soft compartments. I think they are worth it as it keeps your device from mingling with potential objects to damage it, like coins, keys, sanitizing liquids, pocket knife, etc. it also feels intentional when you bring your edc bag it includes your device. I have Mark Ryden slings and Fjallraven sling. They are cheap, has paddings, and water resistant.

5. Wrist strap. At the pictures, it does not have it, but I usually have mine on the right hand side. It helps when I suddenly move and adds peace of mind to myself even when playing on the couch. Having pets or front door deliveries can make one suddenly stand or move and having the strap helps mitigate damages.

6. Not really an accessory, but I would list here, a smart charging brick. Anker smart charging brick. I would like to believe that it is one of the reasons why my old 2020 Samsung tablet still works. So I bought one for my Thor and it goes with the included cable and into my edc bag. It is small and regulates the charge.

For now, I am done customizing my Thor. I am glad I bought the white model as it allowed me to have fun doing the custom stuff for it.

Accessories.. are they worth it?
