How to lose weight while running?
Question for the runners that are also in this subreddit.
I'm a runner & I've been one for a while. I'm 17 AFAB, 163cm height and i weigh around 55kg (or maybe 56kg?? Not sure). I used to be around 50-51kg before i started running and running made me gain weight (not only running but also personal problems like anxiety and stress that cause my appetite to spike).
So I was wondering if theres anyone on here that also runs and manages to maintain their weight or even lose weight? I'd like to drop back to around 50kg. I'm taking it slow but running makes me so hungry. I love running though and it'd be a shame to give up on a hobby i genuinely enjoy so I am looking for answers and help in finding a middle ground where i could run and also lose some weight. Cause running makes me so hungry.
If anyone has any advice on how to time my nutrition and meals to reduce extreme hunger, I'd be very grateful if you'd share! I know and i am aware of basic nutrition and i eat a balanced diet. I know calorie deficit is the only way to lose weight and I'm ok with a deficit of course. I'm just looking for advice in how to time my diet around my runs (and running days) to optimize fullness and satisfaction and reduce extreme hunger so I could stick to a deficit. Im also pescatarian, I dont know if it is that relevant.
