I started this week on reta (i was in Mounjaro)

I was on Mounjaro from January until June. I started at 207 lbs and ended up at around 161–163. I’ve managed to maintain that weight until now, but I still feel like my body looks quite soft, with a lot of abdominal fat despite losing around 20 kg.

With Mounjaro, I spent almost the entire time on 2.5 mg. I increased to 5 mg in April and stayed at that dose. I stopped it abruptly because it was becoming too expensive for me. By the time I stopped, I had already plateaued and hadn’t been losing weight for quite a while, despite going to the gym.

This week I started retatrutide. I started with 1 mg, but I honestly didn’t feel much of anything.
I’ve read here that people who have previously used GLP-1s may have more tolerance to retatrutide, so yesterday I injected another 2 mg.

Now I do feel kind of satiated (but not excessively), and food doesn’t feel repulsive to me like it sometimes did on Mounjaro. However, I do feel quite bloated and heavy. Is that normal when starting retatrutide?

I’d really like to hear from anyone who has been in a similar situation — especially former semaglutide or tirzepatide users who then started retatrutide. I’d love to hear about your experience, particularly during the first few weeks.
