Month Of Mischief is a rollercoaster
Hello everyone,
thought I write a bit of a vent here...
Firstly I wanna say I am very much looking forward to the new clothes from the event, they might genuinely be among my favourites of the game and you better believe I can't wait until sunday to get my hands on that adorable crop top.
However, the new potions, specifically the transformation ones, have me queezy...
Firstly there is the new Potion Pros quest where you are forced to use them on yourself lest you are locked in the quest. Stuff like this had always made me very uncomfortable, though at least this made me realize it may be a problem with bodily autonomy and a phobia of losing it. For similar reasons I actually decided against getting the Wheatflour Wonderland DLC with its wands.
Then of course there is the actual Month Of Mischief. I dislike pranks, I always find prankster characters are given too much leeway and go too far with the stuff they do, and sadly this events truly examplifies this for me.
Kuromi gets to be incredibly mean-spirited (one of her dailies has her say she genuinely believes Pompompurin to be such a stupid glutton he'd eat inedible trash?) and use potions on her supposed best friends that they outright say affect their way of thinking and like... can we not have that in a cozy game? This has made me so viscerally uncomfortable and decide to just outright not do the dailies, even if it mean missing the cool costumes for the characters until next year.
In a weird way I kinda hope I am affected by that glitch people reported where they unlocked the costumes automatically...
Sorry if this ruins the mood for some people, I don't know if I'm just out of line...
