Question for people with bipolar disorder
I’ve heard that the mood swings last, mania and depression each last from anywhere from weeks to months at a time.
I have mood swings, at times can be happy and extremely energetic and just want to run around, and other times be depressed & hopeless. However these mood states don’t last weeks to months, they can appear from day to day. For example yesterday I was very happy and energetic, the 2 days prior to that I was depressed, and the day before that I was happy. Could this be bipolar or is the emotions longer lasting and day to day mood swings are uncommon in bipolar?
Also, can normal mood states exist in bipolar or is it black and white mania & depression? Because I sometimes also feel not happy or sad just, normal. Not as much as the other 2 but it does occur.
