Project not under OP

Hey guys, new SC here. Ive spoken to a lot of Ms and SMs about projects and am trying to get staffed. I haven’t totally vibed with anything until today and found something under Human Capital. I am under Strategy & Transactions for context. I kinda want to take the project bc the work itself is tech strategy but not aligned w my OP. Is that bad? I was at DU a few weeks ago and they said it’s not ideal and bad for end of year review. Thx
