Small success!
Small success, though I could use some advice. I've been experimenting with meditation a lot lately and it seems to have increased the number of experiences I've been having. This is one of them.
It was very early in the morning. Some noise woke me up and I decided to take the opportunity and not move my body. The familiar sensations started arising. I waited for a moment and then tried the roll-out separation method.
I stood up in the middle of my room. I looked around. It was dark.
"Uh... I guess it didn't work?"
I WAS SO SURE that I had physically gotten up. It felt exactly like being awake and standing there. I was completely convinced I was awake.
I grabbed my phone and checked the time. 5:41. Then I went back to bed and... woke up.
I was confused. So it actually worked! I checked my phone again. 5:39. Wtf.
The two-minute difference really weirded me out, but it was also kind of cool how close it was to real time.
So yeah, small success, but it's already something. It definitely feels... different from lucid dreams. And I say that as an lucid dreamer and a HUGE skeptic.
I do have a question, though. How can I make sure I don't get that confused again? I feel like I could've done more if I hadn't just assumed I was awake when I wasn't. Lol.
I guess reality checks don't really work when it comes to AP?
Anyway, I just wanted to share. :')
