I bought a couple boxes of GN bags from a seller on ebay. I've stocked up before from an online vacuum retailer (I think it was evacuumstore) and it came to about $6.25/bag as opposed to $6.75/bag on Miele's website. These were $5/bag so I thought I'd buy a couple boxes and see. There are some differences vs the ones from evacuumstore, but I'm not sure if it's counterfeit, or if they're just different sometimes.

\-First thing is the old ones are called "Airclean" and the new ones "Hyclean" - I see some posts on this sub saying thats a N. America vs Europe market difference?

\-The printing on the bags is different, one says "original miele" and the other just says "miele". They also have different URLS -but- both redirect to miele.com.

\-One is all white on the seams, while the other clearly has a layer of black fabric! This is the difference I'm most concerned about because I need to know that the filtration is equally effective. But I don't know if they just changed the makeup at some point.

\-The premotor filter is multi-size on one, and cut to the smaller size on the other (correct size for my vacuum). They're also of different thicknesses. The filter material seems to be the same.

\-I don't know if this is visible in the pictures, but on the post-motor filter, when you hold them up to the light you can see these faint black lines on one that are missing on the other.

I'll be very grateful if there's anyone who knows what to look for and whether these are normal differences in bags for different markets, or if any of these signs mark them as being problematic for my machine. Thank you!

Are these Miele bags I bought genuine?
