Acrylic nails pet peeve

Ive been working in the store for two years now and after a transfer to the heart of the city i noticed a lot of older people FORCING me to explain to them how they can do acrylic nails at home. Personally im not a nail tec, i dont have a liscene. But i have a friend who does acrylics and ive learned a lot of basics from them. But my best knowledge lys in hair care. I know what to recommend but i dont know the process. But seriously though, why do people expect us to give them a full teaching course on things. Like nail techs didnt walk into a sally beauty and learn how to do acrylics verbally. THEY WENT TO SCHOOL AND LEARNED PRECISION AND TECHNIQUE. It just pmo when people think so little about the care and challenges of the process and think they can just do it themselves overnight. Press ons, and gel are a whole different process that are a lot more simple. But acrylics can literally burn your skin and cause respiratory issues if your not careful!! I try so hard to have patience with these customers and guide them while easing in the repeated "watch a video on it" because i know damn well they arent gonna retain all the informtion i give them. But then they look at me like im stupid because im not a teacher that can show them in store the entire process. Whats worse is when they are CONVINCED they can start acrylics the first time with just a builder gel and press ons. No babes it dont work that way you have to SPEEEEEND and PRACTICE!!! Im curious if any other locations have to deal with this incompetence and struggle making big acrylic sales because the customers think their simplified lack of education version of acrylics is right and such ... i just wish people would research the stuff they want to do when its so advanced... it's such a struggle to explain the dangers when they are so stubborn about what they think it is and how it works. Like if youre not gonna listen to me why are you even asking
