recently (either today or late yesterday) pinkerton got dolby atmos on apple music (and maybe spotify, i wouldn't know) and i noticed massive problems with it, so i'll just go song by song (some problems way smaller than others) and you can see if you agree or have other things you dislike:

tired of sex - the solo sounds like it's underwater

getchoo - the synths are DEAFENING

no other one - this one's actually fine

why bother? - ditto

across the sea - three in a row

the good life - the final chorus doesn't have the unique "all the night" like it used to (my favorite part too :()

el scorcho - the electric guitars are way too quiet

pink triangle - the slide is way less noticeable and the fade-in at the beginning is just bad and brian just doesn't shut his damn trap

also the final chorus doesn't have the unique "pink triangle" line delivery like in the original

falling for you - matt get away give me personal space

butterfly - it would have been impressive if they managed to fuck this up

so to anyone else who has listened: do you also not like it too much like me? am i just a whiny bitch? both? i would oh so love to know if anyone else has thoughts :)

anyone else got big problems with the dolby atmos remaster of pinkerton?
