should i become a santa muerte devotee?

hi, i consider myself spiritual/pagan/witchy. i'm english/irish so i've mostly been looking into celtic/old british paganism. i've been really trying to avoid anything to do with brujeria/voodoo/hodoo/native american practices or any ethnic practices because wiccan cultural appropriation annoys me and i would never want to disrespect anyone.

i've also avoided working directly with any deities because i am new to witchcraft so i'm hesitant to mess with anything too powerful, and i also have depressive episodes and i am worried that i won't be able to leave offerings/keep up with my deity worship during those periods.

however, i've always been drawn to santa muerte and i've been seriously considering working with her but i'm apprehensive. so my questions are:

1. i don't think the worship of santa muerte is a closed practice/cultural appropriation but if i shouldn't get involved with her as a white person please let me know

2. will i be ok to work with her/worship her even though i can't necessarily be consistent?
