A full month of scans, colonoscopies, endoscopies in fear of cancer and finally got definitive results that I'm cancer free

Personal Story

I've had a full month of uncertainty, so many appointments, so many scans, MRI scan, CT scan, full body scan, 2 colonoscopies, an endoscopy, and a sigmoidoscopy, all within one month.

The colonoscopies shown very concerning signs of a polyp that has every sort of consistency that looks like a cancerous polyp. The biopsy results came back not showing any evidence to prove cancer, but yet the doctors were very confident that it had every sign of it being cancer.

Despite not having conclusive results or evidence that it was, I was sat down with a cancer specialist, having a very deep talk with me who sits down with patients who have been confirmed they have cancer, gave me leaflets, helpline contacts, asked if I was going to tell my parents etc.. It was very all daunting and confusing same time as I was treated as a cancer patient without.. actually fully knowing if I have cancer? Which I am absolutely grateful that the doctors were very thorough but as you can imagine, this all sudden news and type of discussions weren't easy to take.

So they wanted more biopsies to know 100% and have a conclusive definitive answer so they got me to do a sigmoidoscopy. That shown no signs of cancer or anything to worry about and a week later they called me and finally confirmed conclusively that I DO NOT have cancer, of any kind.

the mindless days of research, uncertainty, confusion, frustration.. it's all over. And I know for sure that I am cancer free and there's nothing to worry about after such a difficult month. Couldn't be more grateful for god for this outcome.
