How could a paramilitary group seize world domination?

Let’s assume this Group had access to all modern weaponry. Tanks, Jets, Helicopters, Drones, and perhaps even Nuclear Weapons. Would it be possible to conquer the entire world? Or would that be impossible, even with virtually unlimited financial resources? And how would they go about doing that?
