Was me going to a T150 school instead of a T25 a mistake?

I could’ve went to a T25 school for free but I had a connection with a professor at the T150 who immediately gave me a paid research assistant job as a freshman and eventually a technical lead role in his minor start up. I felt like that made up for the lack of school prestige but idk. It seems top internships mainly recruit from top universities regardless of experience.

I have also a single tech internship in the defense industry and another research job plus some projects on resume too if that helps
