full body hives after taking 50mg for a week?

i was on 25mg for 3-4 months and did just fine. i upped to 50mg last week and a few days in i started getting really itchy and breaking out into hives all over my body. the hives are the only symptom i’m having and they’re manageable with antihistamines. i thought about just cold turkey-ing it but i’m dropping back to 25mg because i don’t want to suffer from withdrawal symptoms. has anyone else experienced hives in this way? does it get better or worse? i’m worried taking 25mg again will just worsen the reaction or send me into anaphylaxis :/
