Loud trumpet/horn sounds late at night

Just a few minutes ago there was a loud trumpet sound that didn’t sound particularly close to me but it was very loud. It sounded for only a few seconds then stopped, then a minute later again, but quieter, and this pattern kept somewhat consistently repeating until I couldn’t hear it anymore. It sounded like a few notes, maybe a tune, played in fairly quick succession. I looked up what the cruise one sounds like and that’s not it plus I don’t think I’d be able to hear the cruise from Eastleigh. I’ve definitely heard this at least once before a few months ago maybe. Does anyone know what it is?
