A wizard offers a chance at $10M but very specific rules
You’re offered a challenge. Live a year according to very specific moral rules. If you succeed, you get $10 million at the end of the year. If you fail, you explode into red slush. Accepting this challenge is optional. Here are the wizard’s moral rules.
- You have to return the shopping cart every time
- You have to say thank you every time someone holds the door open for you
- You have to use your turn signal every time appropriately
- No speeding, up to 5 mph over, even in the passing lane. Going slightly under is fine.
- You must always pick up your dog’s poop (if you have one)
- You must complement your partner daily in a sincere way (if you have one)
- You must complement a stranger daily in a sincere way
- You must volunteer for a non-profit once per month for at least an hour
- No littering (unless it’s truly an accident, the wizard will know)
- No leaving dishes in the sink overnight
- You must use the crosswalk, no J Walking
- No telling someone you’re “almost ready” when you’re over 5 minutes from being ready
- No catcalling
- If you know your friend or partner is being a dick to a waiter, you have to call them out on it
Do you accept these rules for the chance at $10M? Or do you pass to avoid the risk of death?
