Would a DoorDash CarPlay offer screen be useful?
Hi everyone,
I’m an engineering student working on a Human-System Integration project about DoorDash and CarPlay. I’ve delivered with DoorDash myself, and one issue I noticed was having to rely on the phone when a new offer comes in.
My project explores a simplified CarPlay offer screen showing only key information such as payout, distance, estimated time, pickup/destination area, route overview, and Accept/Decline controls.
I’d appreciate input from Dashers:
- What information do you look at first when an offer appears?
- What matters most when deciding to accept or decline?
- What problems do you currently have with the DoorDash offer screen?
- If offers appeared on CarPlay, what information would need to be shown?
- What would make it less distracting or easier to use?
- Would you prefer touch, voice, or vehicle controls?
- If you’ve used Uber Eats’ in-vehicle/CarPlay offer pop-up, does it actually make reviewing offers easier or less distracting? What works well, and what still needs improvement?
Would appreciate everyone's input.
