EarFun Air Pro 4i automatic pairing mode when device disconnects
Whenever Earfun Air Pro 4i earbuds are not connected to a device (device ran out of battery, is out of range, or using earbuds for noise protection without a device), they automatically enter pairing mode, instead of passively waiting for a known device to be within range.
Can this be disabled? I have not found a way to do so.
As is, anyone can pair to your earbuds from any phone or other bluetooth device without your permission anytime a device is not connected. This is a security issue. Random people have paired their devices to my daughter's earbuds, and I have to do a full factory reset and then set her settings back up manually to remove them. I can't remove paired devices from within the app.
My daughter has been using the earbuds for noise protection, including in school (e.g. in the cafeteria, which is too loud for her), where she uses them without a device (devices are not allowed). She really likes them! But without a device, they remain pairable all day. This may make them unusable for this purpose, since people accidentally playing audio into her headphones against her permission would render them useless as hearing protection.
Thanks, and let me know if there is any workaround here.
