Help with research reset

I feel like I've had a stroke.

Loaded a game I played earlier today and all my progress at the research station has reset and what's more the resource types have changed.

Ingredients are all reduced to categories

"manufactured parts"

"manufactured scraps"

"geological samples"

"biological samples"

The Ui says I have tonnes of each but when I apply them to research nothing happens.

I've disabled all mods and gone back to old saves where I know it definitely was working and it's the same across the board.

Is my game fucked?
