Immigration Policy Should Prioritize Taxpayers, Citizens, and Lawful Residents
I believe the immigration system is unfair to American taxpayers. I work, pay taxes, and struggle to pay my own bills, so I’m angry that public resources are being used to provide assistance to immigrants while citizens are still struggling.
I believe people who come to the United States should be expected to work, follow the law, and contribute to the country. In my view, immigration should not mean coming here and immediately relying on taxpayer-funded benefits.
I also believe the Biden administration allowed the situation to get worse and that stronger enforcement is necessary. Taxpayers should not be responsible for unlimited medical care, welfare, education assistance, or other benefits for people who have not contributed to the system.
I support stricter immigration enforcement, clearer limits on public benefits, and prioritizing citizens and lawful residents when public resources are distributed. Politicians who created or defended these policies should be held accountable.
