Some of you may remember my post around 2 weeks ago about this beauty that I had just bought, Yes it's an non ugly invicta and its in 18kt gold, anyway if you seen the comments then you know that i happened to drop the watch on the floor a few hours after that post and the cronograph stopped working. Well i has very worried specially because of the Incastar regulation that is very much impossible to find parts for, well I has worried for nothing because it was literally just a lever that left its position, my watchmaker ended up telling me that despite the drop that specific lever was a issue with getting out of position not allowing the cronograph to run, I also asked about the funky weird reset button that sometimes would not work and he told that that's pretty much an issue of the very old Valjoux calibers and that depending on the angle you press the pusher the tube may or may not reach the inner workings, making that frustrating thing that you press and nothing happens. We'll i can confidently say that we leaner new things everyday, for now im going to reserve this watch for more dressy occasions, i really like the cronograph functionality so I'll wear my Sea-Gull 1963 for everyday usage because it's just a very good and tactile movement, valjoux is for the love of the game, but we gotta give it a break the thing is almost 80 years old.

Update, 1948 18kt Invicta is now baaack
