Heaven and hell?

In the Old Testament the word "hell" is found only 31 times.

The etymology of the word "hell" is from Old English. It means "grave", "abode of the [physically] dead".

The Hebrew word translated into the word "hell" is SHEOL.

It too means "grave", "the pit" and "place of the dead" just like the word "hell".

Now nowhere in the Old Testament do we find any mention of an eternal place of damnation, fire and torment.

So then how did the word "hell" come to mean "a place of eternal torment and burning fire"?

It came first through the Roman Catholic church which superceded and usurped the truth with tradition and its own dogmas.

Then its daughter, the Christian church followed suit after the Whore by teaching what the Roman Catholic church taught was the meaning of hell.

Now some 1,703 years after the Council of Nicea was formed we have the word "hell" to mean "an everlasting place of burning fire and torment" yet when the original word SHEOL and the translated word "HELL" do not even mean that at all!

So what the masses have been led to believe is a flat out lie!

When someone physically dies they go to the grave, the place of the dead.
