Hello! I just wanted to share this interesting find with you. A few days ago I was on one of my regular night walks when I discovered a leather-bound bible on a pile of furniture left outside someone's house. I wasn't interested in the furniture and instead took the bible. For a moment I thought that it might be precious to someone, but whoever put it there had clearly left it out in the rain for several days unattended along with what seemed to be some pretty beat up furniture, and I don't know about other people but it's pretty typical to put out used & unwanted furniture near your mailbox in hopes that others might take it off your hands. I thought it looked really cool and I'm trying to grow an antique book collection (with an emphasis on art books) partially inspired by Hayden's collection, which she's made two different videos on.

I did some research and it seems like this bible was printed in the UK between ~1950 and ~1970, which makes it an antique! I think this also means that the leather binding it is real, which is why I decided to clean it off with some wipes and treat it with balsam oil to maintain its softness and rich color. Today, I was flipping through some of the more rain-damaged sections of the bible and discovered mold!! As if it couldn't get interesting enough!

Anyway, I just thought that the people in this community might appreciate this interesting find :) Side note, does anyone know if this could be genuinely hazardous to my health? If so, could I try to clean the mold off? Should I just dispose of it? Is it a cursed object that I should return to the witch who owned it so that I don't incur her wrath??
