Ashoka R1 2027 Chances?

Hey everyone! I’m planning to apply to Ashoka University in R1 for the 2027 intake, with Biology as my intended major and Entrepreneurship as my minor.

Would really appreciate honest opinions from current Ashoka students, alumni, or applicants who have gone through the process.

Academics:

• Class 10 HBSE: 90%
• Class 11 CBSE : 80%
• Class 12 CBSE predicted: 90%+

Research:

• 1 IEEE research paper published
• Working on another research paper, currently submitted for publication
• Research experience with a fairly technical biology/AI-oriented project
• Strong interest in computational biology / biotechnology

LOR:

• LOR from a PhD-level teacher/research mentor with international/foreign academic experience

Entrepreneurship / ECs:

• ~7 months of online sales/growth experience
• Worked on real sales and measurable growth, rather than just a certificate-based internship
• Startup experience, including working with a startup that had actual revenue/profit
• Additional entrepreneurship/startup exposure

Other:

• I’m quite strong at essay writing
• I think I can perform well in the AAT
• Comfortable with interviews and discussing my research/projects in depth

My main concern is obviously the 80% in Class 11, although my Class 10 was 90% and I’m expecting 90%+ in Class 12.

I know Ashoka is holistic and there’s no fixed profile that guarantees admission, so I’m not looking for fake reassurance. How would you honestly view this profile for R1, especially for Biology + Entrepreneurship?

Also, if anyone with a similar academic profile got an interview call / offer / waitlist / rejection, I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience.
