Hoping to pass on some advice for anyone wanting to get a head start on their future
I'm 19 and have been slowly building foundations to provide myself with a stable future and hopefully retire as soon as possible.
I currently have 3 different pots I'm building, my lifetime isa which I will use to purchase my first house, my stocks and shares isa and my pension.
I have maxed out my LISA for 3 years (tax years) and depending on how it performs by the time I'm 24 could give me around 55k. My LISA is with JP Morgan and is the stocks and shares lifetime isa they offer which I personally think is great.
I am also building a stocks and shares portfolio within Trading212 (mainly invested within ETFS) which I hope with compounding and consistent investment will create a pot future me will be thankful for.
I also started paying into my pension as soon as possible as it is worth taking advantage of if your employer contributes. I pay in the minimum amount needed and get around 8% contribution from my employer which is slowly building me a good pension pot in the background without me noticing any money missing.
The best way to retire early is to start early!
Put as much away as you can afford to and let compounding do the work
