Alright, fuck this all to hell and back.

I posted this about "add items to your order" 2 weeks ago:

https://www.reddit.com/r/DriveUpandGo/s/dqOaitzZwJ

I start shopping a 55 item order, one of those annoying ones where it's actually 49 items so it's basically 1 of everything. I grab an item in aisle 13 then move onto 14. Handheld bings "new item!" It's in 13. "Whelp, at least it's not far" I think. Go to 13, grab the item, walk back to 14. Throw it in the cart. It bings again. "New items!" It cheerily exclaims. I look, both in 13.

Walk back to 13, grab the two items. Go back to 14, throw it in the cart.

I get to aisle 16. "Bing! New items, buddy. So happy!" I hear my device say. Hey, it's aisle 13 again. Not being terribly far I go back to 13, get the item, walk back to 16, put it in the cart. This is now my fourth trip to aisle 13.

"Bing, Bing, Bing! Hey shopper, buddy-ol'-pal! New items! New items!"

At this point I decide to keep shopping and just press forward, I'll get to the end of the store and then walk backward, retrace my steps, and hope the added items are done.

I finish the pick in dairy/bakery and walk back. There's, I dunno, 15 new items. My 55 item pick is now a 75. I get back to aisle 18, the furthest aisle in the store near produce/floral. 1 item to get, Alfredo sauce. As I reach for it..."BING! NEW ITEMS FREN!" I look, it's dairy. Clear on the other side of the damned store.

At this point I uncontrollably let out a "no no NO NO NO!" so loud the floral manager a good 60' away looks at me and asks what's wrong.

At this point I want to quit. This shit is INSANE.

I pick 120 items PLUS per hour and this fucking order took me 46 minutes. I NEVER spend 45 minutes picking ANYTHING. Not EVER.

This shit needs to go:

1- Limit the amount of SKUs that can be added to 3. Or 5. I don't care if you want to add 20 cans of chicken noodle soup, but limit the damned SKUs.

2- If someone wants to add more than 5 items, make it a new pick.

The other skullfuckery going on is if you prep not ready anything, more items can be added because the order is "still being shopped". So PNR meat? Customer can add a can of green beans. Now we got batch picks where we're grabbing one damned item. To put the salt in the wound, items are fucking everywhere in the dugout. Half the crew assembles them and puts the stickers on existing bags appropriately. The other half of the crew are throwing shit anywhere on the shelf taking up wwwaaayyy more room than ever before. There's shit everywhere, orders in 3 different fridge doors, bags behind other customers bags. It's a department for idiots but some of yall take that as a challenge.

Fuck this. Fuck this to hell and back.
