Genuine question for Lyft passengers:
If you get in the car, you’re pleasant, you’re ready when I arrive, you don’t cause any problems, and the ride goes smoothly do you feel like you went above and beyond and earned five stars?
And before anybody gets mad, I want to give some love to the passengers who tip. So many of you do, and I’m genuinely thankful for you guys. You’re a huge part of the reason I’m still out here driving. Even a couple bucks at the end of a ride adds up, and it tells me you appreciated the service. Seriously, thank you.
And that’s actually where my rating system comes in.
Personally, I save my five-star ratings for tippers.
If you were pleasant and everything went smoothly but you didn’t tip? Four stars. Nothing wrong with you. You were a good passenger and the transaction went exactly as expected.
But you tipped? Five stars. You went beyond what was required, so I give you the rating that goes beyond the baseline.
I know that’s probably not how everybody uses the rating system, and that’s why I’m curious:
If simply being a normal, pleasant passenger automatically deserves five stars, what exactly makes someone a four-star passenger?
And to all my tippers out there: you guys are already in the five-star club. 😂
