Amazon SDE Offer, wanted L5 but got L4 with weird conditions

Hello :)

I currently have around 3 YOE as a SWE, and recently applied to Amazon for a L5 position. Unfortunately, I didn't get it, but I was offered a L4 opportunity. However, my recruiter told me that to be able to get this opportunity I still need to be studying (either a certification or a masters/phd), since these positions are mainly given to either post-grad students or fresh-grads.

So now I'm kinda lost on how I should take this. It's not that I don't like to study, I have some plans on studying my masters in a couple of years. It's just that having to enroll on a masters/certification just to even see the L4 offer seems kinda... excessive?

Working at Amazon seems really cool and all, but I'm not sure if enrolling on masters/certification course is worth it, since the work load can get really heavy, and now I would need to worry about two things... (even if they're easy masters/certifications)

I'm really considering to just keep working at the place I am, and wait around a year for another shot at the L5 position, or apply to other places.

Has anyone else been in this situation? Was it worth it?

Thanks!
