94 f150 dies when getting on gas after hot idle

Troubleshooting

1994 f150, 5.0 v8 automatic. Drives great for first 20 minutes and when cruising. After 20+ minutes, if I get to somewhere with slow moving traffic or with a lot of lights that I have to stop at etc… I come to a stop with the truck in drive and foot on the brake. Trucks starts shaking a little bit. CEL comes on. When I try to drive away, the engine bogs down, there’s a clunk and a bang, and I can’t get it going. Engine bogs down until truck dies. If I turn it right back on, I get the problem again. If I let it sit for a few, I’m usually fine (temporarily).

Mechanic test drove it and couldn’t recreate the issue. Said it’s in great shape and tight as a drum. Let it idle for a long time and nothing there either. Hooked multimeter up when the truck was hot after idling and voltage read fine. He pulled codes and got both MAF and TPS.

Has anybody experienced this or know what might be going on? I don’t want to blindly replace the MAF and TPS if the issue is something else or being caused by something upstream.

Also, FWIW - When I turned the truck on this morning, the radio read “amp error” and would not work. Then when I was in traffic and the truck bogged down and died and I turned the truck back on again, the radio magically worked again. Then, when the truck started to bog down again, the left speaker started getting muddy when the CEL light came on before the truck died. I disconnected the radio after that. When I had the original head unit, the display would go dark after the CEL/engine bog down/death/restart.
