Cisgender (Male 23) wanting to transition, but things holding me back
So about 3 years ago I joined the Air Force because I had no clue about what I wanted to do in life and when I was in New Mexico after some time passed I made some friends, but while I was there but had feelings/attraction towards them and realized I was bisexual because of it. I never told anyone about it and it bothered me for a while. I eventually left New Mexico to head to South Korea for a year and made friends there quickly since it was easier to make friends than New Mexico. It was 1 night I got super drunk in South Korea and parting with my friends and accidentally told them that I was bisexual and always wanted to be a woman because of gender dysphoria, wanting to have long hair, getting my nails painted, doing makeup, and wear women’s clothing because of the different options, styles, designs, and compared to men’s. Then the next day rolls around and I just decided to check my phone and had tons of messages from my friends the previous night saying that they are very open and excited that I came out and truly felt how I feel. Then the next weekend and I got invited by my female friends and we went clothing shopping and really got to experience buying women’s clothing, makeup and also got tips on how to do my makeup. We made it back and later that night we went outside to go bar hopping and I was in a red knitted sweater , black furry jacket, with flared jeans, and high heels glammed up in makeup and for the first time ever I felt really confident and comfortable. So I decided to openly be myself in South Korea and didn’t care what anyone else thought, said or did because I was myself. I eventually mustered up the courage to tell my Mom about me being bisexual and me wearing women’s clothing. Then I had to go to Germany next and since I have been here I haven’t been able to be myself because of the strict rules and regulations and couldn’t be myself. I later told my Dad about my bisexuality and was surprised that he didn’t react negatively and told me you have to live your life how you want to live it. But mainly since I left South Korea I haven’t felt the same and really want to transition but I can’t because not everyone in my family knows that I’m bisexual and are accepting of LGBTQIA community and I feel stagnant because the military is alright and for the benefits, but im still wondering on what Career I want to pursue for because if I start to transition, I have to either be separated from the military and have a career set or try to transition while I’m in then get kicked out for wanting to be myself. I also have a lot on my mind about transitioning, but I don’t have anyone to really talk to about what’s on my mind. I recently started going to therapy to talk about transitioning to see if it will help or not but mainly I feel really confused in life and want to transition to be myself but mainly just scared of losing friends, family, and people who used to remember me.
