Resuming after a Planned Surgery

I am having a planned surgery in a few months and my Dr has given me instructions on when to stop the shot. I forgot to ask though post procedure during my 10 day recovery stay is Zep something they will give in the hospital? Just curious if anyone else has been in the hospital and how they handled missing doses.
