How many Pof Coins do you need to get all the Items?
You'd need 755, though if you exclude the most expensive option (the Pods) it's only 255, so fairly doable, even at a casual pace!
Is there a daily limit on how many Pof Coins you can get?
There doesn't seem to be! I got 431 in the first day, so go ahead and use those HPwr Tonics without fear!
Do I need to tap the Pof and/or the coin for it to count?
No, you can navigate away without tapping them and the game will still add them to your total, just like it does for the bugs that fall from the trees. However, you can tap both the Coin to manually pick it up and the Pof to make it teleport away, if you like seeing the added animations. (I'm a lil OCD so I had to do both every single time [minus the ten or so times I accidentally clicked to the next island on autopilot].)
What sort of drop rate should I expect for the Pof Coins?
It's a little hard to say, and a part of me wouldn't be surprised if they change it partway through (like with Bug Bug Buffet). I wasn't tracking the drop rate from the start but it didn't feel very high, but once I started keeping track toward the end of yesterday suddenly I felt crazy for complaining because the payout wasn't as bad as I'd thought... until my most recent session when it seemed pretty low once more. In short, it can vary a lot (especially across shorter sessions), but I've measured as low as 0.68 Coins per water/harvest and as high as 0.9 Coins, an overall average of 0.8 Coins each time you water/harvest, though 75% of my payouts fell between 0.8-0.9 Coins, so the 0.68 might be an outlier. Note that this number reflects the overall Coin total, so the average payout will be slightly higher than the percentage of drop instances, due to the presence of the rarer Coin pouch drops.
