Give me some tips for the spear

Hey! I’m a veteran of FromSoftware games, and I recently beat Khazan for the first time using a greatsword (Expert difficult) . Holy shit, this game is amazing, but the combat system is really deep and I struggled a lot with it. I only really figured out how to play the greatsword properly toward the end of my playthrough. I mostly relied on parrying and trading damage with bosses.

I’ve just started NG+ and I want to try playing with the spear, and honestly, I’m a little lost. I really like the weapon, but I’m dumb as hell and I just can’t see the synergies, combos, and all that stuff. I’m currently stuck on Viper.

I’d really appreciate any tips on combos, builds, or anything else that could help! Thanks in advance, I really love this game!
