Kitsuly started with a pretty simple question:

**Why does running an online store have to be so complicated?**

WordPress gives people an incredible amount of freedom, but building a serious e-commerce store can quickly turn into a maze of plugins, extensions, subscriptions, integrations and workarounds.

One tool handles products.

Another handles payments.

Another handles shipping.

Then come design tools, analytics, tax, bookings, marketing, customer management, wishlists, returns and everything else.

Before long, you aren't just running a store.

**You're managing a collection of software.**

Kitsuly is my attempt to build a different approach.

**Build it. Sell it. Manage it. Grow it. All from one place.**

# The Project: Kitsuly Ecommerce V2.0.1

Kitsuly already exists as a working development prototype.

That is important because this Kickstarter is **not a campaign to start a business, fund the general operation of Kitsuly, or pay for indefinite future development.**

The project being funded here has a specific finish line:

**Create and deliver the Kitsuly Ecommerce V2.0.1 Backer Release.**

V2.0.1 will take the systems already demonstrated in the current Kitsuly prototype and combine them with a defined set of new features, interfaces and release components being created specifically for this version.

When those deliverables are completed, packaged and supplied to eligible backers, the Kickstarter project is complete.
