Place near the Eiffel Tower to post up for a few hours?

My family and I will be arriving in the morning and we cannot access our apartment until early afternoon. The apartment is extremely close to the Eiffel Tower so we were hoping for a place around there. We will all have carry-on size backpacks and one large suitcase. My wife and I will be traveling with our nine and eighteen year-old sons. Can anyone recommend a place where we could situate ourselves and maybe two of us at a time go peep off and poke around while the other two guard our luggage? Like, somewhere walkable with food and bathrooms nearby?
