Am great at dating, am terrified of securing dates.
Since the end of high school, I’ve developed a fear of talking to women I’m attracted to unless it’s forced via work, surroundings, cash register, etc.
In high school, I was great at it, Social butterfly. I don’t know what happened, but since the end of high school I have never asked a woman out. After I graduated I realized I’m gonna need to do more than look good and be funny, then developed a bad anxiety around women in general.
The only time I’ve dated is when they ask me out in whatever way they choose to do. Surprisingly, I’m pretty great at it. On the first one I was so nervous, thinking of the millions of ways it could go, just for it to have gone as perfect as possible.
Anyways, I don’t know what to do. I find women I’m attracted to, have tiny interactions with them, form mini crushes, then never speak to them again. Those mini crushes seem to develop into pedestalizing them and pushing myself away from ever interacting with them again.
This loop has caused misery for me. I’m 24, feeling that If I can’t get this skill down my only options will be the 1/1,000,000 girls that approach me somehow.
