Barbados Creations

This is my first time on here.... I just wanted to share with people who also love Barbados some things I've been working on. I'm born and raised in Barbados and I wanted to make pieces that reflect my memories of a certain time, place, the details that make it authentic - the little things that make Barbados Barbados! I'd love it for you to take a look at what I made so far and I hope they take you back to Barbados. I'd also love to know your favorite places - memories and maybe I can do some special pieces as 'fan requests' ;P

Full disclaimer because I'm all about transparency: While I am a photographer trained in graphic design... I am not an illustrator unfortunately. So I have outsourced the drawing part but they come from my photography, my memories, my vision of the details that make it authentic, the knowledge of the country and culture. I then use my training and eye to composer, curate, add and remove elements and otherwise finish the piece myself.

It started as something I wanted to make for my wedding to share a piece of my home at each table... but then they really felt special and like I had a story to tell so I wanted to make more, refine them and decided to share them online.
