Gott be the 40,000th time asked but can i get an accurate guide to the horus heresy? There are so many off shoots and stories that branch out that idk what order im supposed to read them in!

I have read the first 5 books and love em. But like is loken dead? What happend to garro? I can obviously see the answers to both of these questions but when am I supposed to branch out and read what stories? I need somone to steer me away from the main books and back to them Accordingly.
