The dual enrollment coordinators are freaking out lol

I guess it’s not just me: as a collective, the dual enrollment instructors have had enough. There was some talk at our last department meeting about how we need to submit academic dishonesty forms for every single AI violation so the administrators understand how vast the problem is. I filed four just this week.

Now the program coordinators are emailing us asking us to PLEASE discuss these issues with our high school campus liaison and make sure we’ve made our AI policies clear to the students. You know, because sometimes students cheat accidentally because they didn’t know they weren’t allowed to use AI to annotate an entire short story.

They really think I’m going to let some high school counselor talk me out of giving these kids zeroes because they’re getting angry calls from parents. Not likely!
