Unhoused couple with a dog

On Centre Street and 22 ave NW, sitting on the grass, there’s an unhoused couple that have a sweet dog with them - I saw them yesterday, and they’re back there today… I gave them a gift-card for Lina’s nearby, and asked them if the dog was okay.

They said yes, and said that they were feeding her, and showed me cans of dog food they had, Andy the dog did seem okay… she was very nice and friendly and wanted to play with my dog.

They said they’re trying to get in touch with Parachutes for Pets to temporarily take her until they get back on their feet. I would’ve offered to take the dog temporarily , but I’m not able to take another one at this time…

I told them to maybe reach out to animal shelters or rescues as well… but - any Good Samaritans out there who are able to help - that’s where they are.
