At what age did you get tired of your friends? lol
I’m talking about that girl group
have to plan something extravagant
texting 24/7,
personal thoughts,
daily updates, and knowing every single thing going on in everyone’s life 😭 like girl do I need to know about your morning bowel movements? Queen your outfit is so tea but if you’re going to send me a fit check every morning start your own social media page
Do you guys still do this in your 30s?
I need out
I’ve realized how exhausting it is for me.
Idkk how I used to keep up with constantly responding to everyone and feeling like I had to be emotionally involved in every little thing happening in multiple peoples lives.
I’ve started to resent it because it feels like there’s this expectation that we should all be constantly available to each other. I still love my friends, I just don’t want the 24/7 playbyplay.
Honestly, at this point in our lives, even weekly updates sometimes feel like too much. How much happened in one week that I need to know about? Your check engine light came on?! 😭 Okay girl, take care of it. Idk, it’s draining and sometimes I feel less like a friend and more like an audience.
I don’t want to stop being friends or not know what’s going on in their lives. I’ve definitely taken a step back. However since then I still feel them reaching for engagement.
I just want us to go live our lives and then actually have something to talk about when we catch up.
Is this just part of getting older? 😂
Or are my friends really just annoying lol
