Want To Visit TwinFalls, Along With Other Towns In Idaho For Retirement Places To Live Out My Life.

Hello, I'm 43, and already planning my retirement places lol. I blame the video game 'Silent Hill' / ALAN WAKE', which based its locations on Oregon and Washington State. Ever since I saw The X-Files and the movie Before I Fall, which was filmed in British Columbia, Canada, and other movies. Just makes me want to live in those thick green forests of trees. I was also looking at Vancouver, but I think that is expensive as well.

I found a bunch of towns I'd like to visit so I can make a decision. I'd like to make my first trip solo to Twin Falls and see what it's like.
I keep telling people that I want to live in a small seaside town, where nobody knows my name, a cabin in the woods or whatever; I LOVE COZY. My family is from Worcester, Mass. I moved to CT for work; my sister moved to San Diego, CA. My mom and dad went to Myrtle Beach, SC.
Last year my father passed. He was going to move out to San Diego, CA to be closer to my sister and her husband. They sold their home and spent that on a 60+ area in a trailer, actually really nice.

I moved from Mass to CT, and I just moved to San Antonio, TX, back in the middle of July of 2024. I transferred within the company I've been at for like 17 years.

I will say very odd that I melt and I get little misty eyed when I see beautiful images of Idaho, Oregon, and Washington State. It's calling me.

I'm used to the snow. An ex-co-worker told me parts of Colorado get snow, but it's not ridiculous amounts of snow.

So that's my plan, unless I meet a woman here in San Antonio and settle down, hell maybe she'll be game to move as well. I just can't stand the heat. I knew what I was walking into though. I like the state cause of taxes and such.
