Sanitary shave??

Hey everyone!

Got a question about my boy: he tends to make a mess of himself in the litterbox. I'm talking so much poop stuck to his butt. I'm assuming a lot of it is because he can't squat very well and ends up sitting in the poop. Have any of you experienced this? Did a sanitary shave help? I'm already dreading doing that but if it'll keep him from dragging poop everywhere it's worth it.
