Folsom Street Festival question

Pre-emptive disclaimer: my post history is very NSFW.

I just moved to Fairfield, CA. Sac and S.F. are both easily accessed in either direction and it was recommended that I check out the festival on Sunday.

One: what would be a good way to network with people going?

Two: I'm originally from New Orleans and I like food as much as alcohol. Any restaurant recommendations while I'm in town?
